Julie Morris, MBA - CFO
A Davis resident, Julie has more than 15 years of senior management experience in high technology organizations with expertise in financial valuation, forecasting, due diligence, deal structure and integration planning for a variety of strategic relationships. She has extensive negotiations experience with Asian and European firms and is skilled at negotiating complex legal agreements. From 1999 to April 2006, she worked at Agilent Technologies, Inc., Palo Alto, CA as Senior Manager, Corporate Development where she managed all aspects of strategic transactions including equity investments, acquisitions, joint ventures and divestitures. She designed and implemented a professional development training program when Agilent was created as a spin-off from HP. Deals include: $1.7B Healthcare Solutions Group divestiture to Philips; $1B sale of LumiLeds joint venture shares to Philips; sale of i-STAT shares to a private investor; formation of RedSwitch Inc., a Fujitsu spin-off; and investment in SAN Valley Systems, Inc., a privately held company. From 1989-1999, before Agilent, she worked for Hewlett-Packard Company as Project Manager, Corporate Development, Program Manager, Professional Services Division and Product Manager, Application Support Division with worldwide responsibility for designing, creating, and marketing HP’s Professional Services for the financial services vertical market segment. Deals included: $1.3B semiconductor manufacturing joint venture in Singapore; $140M acquisition of Heartstream (HTST); multiple private company acquisitions and minority equity investments including Crossroads (CRDS), and Quinton Instrument Company; and divestiture of VeriFone’s China manufacturing subsidiary to SCI Systems. Before HP, Julie was with Axel Group, Madrid, Spain as an Associate, Investment Banking and before that with Booz Allen & Hamilton, Inc., New York, NY. Julie has a Masters in Business Administration, awarded First Year Honors from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration and a BS degree with Honors from UC Berkeley in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science with emphasis on Bioelectronics.
